Mandana Karimi is well known as an actress and star of Bigg Boss. Born in Iran, Mandana has gained attention through movies like Kya Kool Hai Hum 3. Mandana is also a Bollywood retreater saying that her mental health was deteriorating due to bad experiences here. Mandana has opened up about the trials she had to face while she was acting in Bollywood.
“I don’t want fame. Not thinking about the money to be made. I looked at this before. But not anymore,” Mandana says. Mandana says that after Meedu made an accusation against a director, he had a bad experience and decided to stop acting.
Mandana says that she decided to react when she realized that the same director who mistreated her had also mistreated other women. But Mandana says the Meedu movement, which sparked big changes abroad, faced a different reaction in India. The actor opined that the movement had to face many difficulties in India.
Mandana says that being open has caused her more setbacks than gains. They all made her impossible to work with as she refused to do everything they asked her to do. This was exhausting. Mandana says that people said they didn’t understand Indian culture and all of this upset her a lot.
“If I had a daughter, I would be afraid that she would become a Bollywood actress. The world of cinema in India is completely different. It all depends on who you know, who is your father, who is your family. Your skills are all for later Mandana says that there is a big competition going on.
“Bollywood was like that for me. I tried to find good people. Not everyone is bad. I worked with very good people. But unfortunately in my career there were few people like that. I saw people who behaved without any respect. Mandana says: “The People’s perception was that it’s good to see her, there’s no one to support her, but she can do anything.”
Mandana made the accusation against directors Sajid Khan and Umesh Gadge. Mandana auditioned for the movie Hamshakals. During this time, Mandana claimed that the film’s director, Sajid, told him to get naked and that he wanted to see his body. Mandana had the following bad experience from him while acting in Kya Kool Hai.
Ekta Kapoor, the producer of the film, casts him in the film. But director Umesh was not interested in acting from the start. He was publicly insulted on several occasions. He said that you are not suitable for this movie. One day Umesh asked her to come to his room. They gave her a very small bikini to wear. He said it wouldn’t fit his character, but he didn’t listen. Mandana alleged that the director asked her to wear a bikini in front of him.
