Many people choose Chandakbhu to experience trekking. But there are many people who do not like trekking very much. But that road can’t be seen unless you go to Sandakf, it’s not like that. The journey to Chandakpoo starts from Manepanjan. From here you can easily reach by car. Then through Dodre, Chitre, Donglu, Tumling, Kalapokri to reach Chandakpoo. However, you can also reach Dodre by car. Thodre, the last hill village on the Chandakpu route, is also accessible by car.
Dodre is situated at an altitude of about 8530 feet. Dodre with cloud, pine and kanchenjunga. Rhododendrons can be found throughout Singlila National Park at this time. Red rhododendron peeks out from rows of dense green pines. He is accompanied by different colored daisies and orchids. Enjoying such natural beauty in the bone-chilling cold of Dothra is something else. Birds can also be heard from the dense pine forest.
There is no change in view of Homestay and Kanchenjunga at Thodre. But Dodre is different from all of them. Red, yellow and orange colors can be seen on the snow-capped peaks of Kanchanjunga during sunrise. Darjeeling, Sukhiyapokri and Donglu hills can be seen standing on the lap of Dothra. However, Donglu’s journey starts from this Dotra. Although there are more tourist centers in the picture between Dodre and Donglu. Besides, there is a view point at Dhotre to pass through the Dhotre Medical Scheme Conservation Area. There are many trees in this area, different parts of which are used to make various medicines.
Distance from New Jalpaiguri to Dothra is 104 km. If you want to go by share car, you have to sleep and reach Dodre from Darjeeling via Sukhiyapokri. A vehicle is also available from Manepanchan to Thodre. Dothra is only 20 km from Manepanjan. Donglu can be visited on foot from Thodre. Only 6 kilometers.
