Hill villages are more beautiful and peaceful. One such mountain village discovery is for you. Shadow of Sikkim. A small hill village surrounded by greenery and mountains. Though not as popular as other hill villages in Sikkim, Saithal is a very beautiful tourist destination.
This shadow belongs to the underworld. A chilled paradise in the lap of Sikkim. The entire village is built around a small lake. ‘Tal’ means lake. The village is named Sayatal because of this lake. At the other end of the village is a monastery. The location of the monastery is very calm and peaceful. Surrounded by mountains and forests. Tourist arrival is very less. There are Buddhist statues inside the monastery. The interior is very nicely decorated. As beautiful as it is with the dye, there is no sound here except the chirping of birds. Sitting in the middle of this solitude is the white kanchenjunga.
There is one more thing to look for in dyeing. The mountain spring comes from the sloping hill. Buddha Chakra is rotated using spring water. This is how the buddhic cycle revolves day and night on the inkwell. Looks beautiful too. Also there is a beautiful waterfall on the way from Hai Bazar to Sayadal. Stop there and take a selfie.
