This Chanduk is located on the lap of Neura Valley Sanctuary. Like other hill villages in Kalimpong, it is secluded and full of natural beauty. The number of hostels in Santuke is limited. Mortar has another form. It is a trekking route.
Ramailo Chanduk is located between Raying River and Payung River. And 5 kms before Chanduk you can find Reli river. On reaching the village you will find Ramilo Sandhuk Panthal. Going up through the village road, you can reach the campsite. Yes, there are camping sites in Chanduk. And you have to walk there. After 50 meters uphill you will reach Ramilo Chanduk camp site.
Ramailo Chanduk is a part of eco-tourism. The campsite is built on top of a hill. Reaching the camp site of Ramailo Chanduk, you will find the Kalimpong hills surrounded by greenery. And if you cover your ears, you can hear the chirping of birds. The entire camp site is made of bamboo. And tents are pitched. You can spend two nights here if you wish. What’s fun about this campsite is that you can hike to the Raleigh River from here. As Reli river is not far from Chanduk, one can trek from here to Relicola. You can hike through forests, mountains, and springs along the Raleigh River Trail. Go to Lava, Lolegaon and reach Sanduk camp site. However, spending the night at camp and trekking up the Raleigh River is a different kind of fun. And it is a paradise for bird lovers. Friends may visit Ramailo Santhu.
