Emraan Hashmi’s son, Ayaan Hashmi, was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 when he was just four years old. The cancer was in the kidney. The news turned the lives of Imran and his wife Parveen upside down. But they decided to be strong for their son. Ayan couldn’t even have realized the magnitude of the mountain of crises he was about to face.
The family transplanted their son to Canada for treatment. Ayan is cancer free after five years of battle. “Today after five years Ayan is cancer free. It was a bad trip. Thanks for everyone’s prayers. Praying for all cancer fighters. You can win this war,” Imran wrote on social media.
Later, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Imran spoke about the challenge and mental stress his family went through. Imran then said that he still doesn’t know where he got the courage to face such a situation.
“I don’t know, this is what I was talking about with my wife the other day. I still don’t know where we got this courage from. I feel like I don’t think about it when I’m fighting. Imran said he couldn’t think anymore. Imran said the only ray The only hope they had was that Ayan would recover.
“It was our son who suffered more than us. He had to endure severe pain for many years. It was the hope that he would recover that kept us going,” says Imran. Later, Imran also wrote a book about his son’s cancer treatment period. The name of the book was The Kiss of Life.
Imran says his son had no symptoms. “There was no warning. There was no fever or physical discomfort. But he had a tumor on the left side. It caused obesity. We thought he was getting fat. We felt a lot of guilt about it.” said the star. Imran also talks about the incident where her son fell during a race at school.
“He fell twice. He finished last. But when he crossed the finish line he turned and smiled at me. The action of the blows was also shown. Then he went straight to the children who were crying because they had lost. He told them that the important thing is not to win, but to participate. Imran says that he gained knowledge of him at the age of six, which is unheard of even in a fifty-year-old man.
Imran married his childhood friend Parveen Shahani in 2006. Ayan was born in 2010. He was diagnosed with cancer at the age of four. After five years away from his career, Imran lived alone for his son. Imran and his family returned to India after his son was cured of cancer. Emraan Hashmi then became active in acting again.
