Kalki Kekla is an actress who has found her own place in Bollywood with her talent and hard work. Kalki is used to openly expressing her opinions and positions. Kalki once spoke about the misfortune in his life. Kalki shared her experience through the Humans of Bombay Facebook page. Kalki revealed that she had to face sexual violence when she was a child. Kalki had this unfortunate experience at the age of nine.
Sharing the experience is not to make anyone feel sorry for him, but parents and children should be prepared to talk about it. Kalki says that they should be able to save their children from such experiences.
“I didn’t speak about the sexual assault I faced out of sympathy. Rather, it’s to give those who have been through it the confidence to speak up. I let someone have sex with me when I was nine, without even knowing what it was. My biggest fear was that my mother would find out. I kept it a secret for years, thinking it was my fault,” says Kalki.
“If I had the confidence and conviction, I would have talked to my parents. If so, it would have saved me years of anxiety about my sexuality. Parents need to remove taboos around the word sex and private parts.” Kalki added that if we can talk openly, we can save our children from violence.
Kalki became a star through Dev D. Kalki was mostly sought after for parallel movies rather than mainstream Bollywood movies. Kalki is finding his own niche without Bollywood roots. After Dev D, Kalki acted in movies like Shaitan, Zindagi Na Milega Dobara, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Margarita with a Straw, A Death in the Gunj, Gully Boy and Paava Kathaikal. The new movie is Emma and Angel.
In addition to cinema, it has also made its presence known in the OTT world. Kalki played leading roles in the hit series Sacred Games and Made in Heaven. Kalki was previously married to director Anurag Kashyap. But then they both left this relationship. Anurag and Kalki remain friends even though their love has been broken. Kalki, who later fell in love with another man and got married, became a mother to her.
