Madhuri’s sari used in that song and Salman’s towel cost lakhs;  Auctions shocked Bollywood!

It is indisputable that Bollywood is the largest film industry in India. Every movie in Bollywood is released after spending crores of rupees. There are also many movies where the producers have made money like rain. After cast and crew compensation, the biggest expense in movies is the property used in them.

These include everything from the huge sets set up for the movie to the clothes given to the stars and accessories like earrings and rings. These reusable properties are often used for later films. But some items that capture the audience’s attention are auctioned off by the team. Some of the properties used in Bollywood movies have a history of fetching huge sums of money at auction.

Salman Madhuri

From the sari worn by Madhuri Dixit in the movie Beta to the bat worn by Aamir Khan in the movie Lagaan, the items have fetched huge sums of money. Generally, the proceeds from such auctions are used for charitable purposes.

After Aamir Khan’s 2000 film Lagaan became a blockbuster, Aamir is auctioning off the cricket bat used in the film. In the movie, Aamir’s character used an ordinary bat carved out of wood. It is reported that when this bat used by Aamir in the climax of the film was put up for auction, it sold for around one hundred and fifty thousand rupees. Aamir’s autograph was also on the bat.

Mujse Shaadi Karogi is the most popular movie of Salman Khan. There aren’t many people who don’t remember ‘Jeene Ke Hai Char Din’ in this. Salman Khan has used a towel in this scene of the song. Salman’s towel was auctioned for one hundred and forty two thousand rupees. Similarly, there are reports that Akshay Kumar’s Sri Krishna costume in the film Oh My God sold for around Rs 15 lakhs.

Akshay Aamir

Heroine is one of the notable movies of Kareena Kapoor. The song Halkat Jawani was a hit. Kareena wore two sarees in this scene in the song. This saree also fetched a large amount through auction. The amount is reported to have been used for Kareena’s charity.

Similarly, a sari from Madhuri Dixit was also auctioned. The saree used in the hit song ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga’ from the film Betta starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit was auctioned off. That sari sold for around Rs 80,000 at that time.

Apart from this, the lehenga worn by Madhuri in a song scene in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Devdas has been auctioned for Rs 3 crores. A doodle art gifted to Shah Rukh Khan by fans (2 lakhs), a black-and-white image of actor Dev Anand (4 lakhs) and Priyanka Chopra’s high-heeled shoes (2.5 lakhs) have all been up for auction.
