Sridevi is an actress who holds the title of superstar first lady of Indian cinema. Sridevi started her career with South Indian movies. Sridevi, who has performed in multiple languages including Bollywood, has shined equally in all languages. Sridevi’s personal life was also in the news as the film garnered plaudits. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s wedding is one of the most sensational Bollywood weddings. Boney Kapoor fell in love with Sridevi and married the actress while he was married. They got married after Sridevi got pregnant. This generated a lot of criticism. Boney’s first wife, Mona Shauri Kapoor, was the most hurt when the two got together.
For them, the relationship was a big fraud. Sridevi and Mona Kapoor were close friends at the time. Sridevi used to come and stay at her house. Sridevi has also linked Rakhi with Boney as her brother. Mona never dreamed that such a Sridevi would cheat on her. When they found out that Sridevi was pregnant, they were devastated.
News of Sridevi’s pregnancy spread like wildfire. With that, Sridevi got the name of the one who destroyed a happy family. Then, on June 2, 1996, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor were married in a simple temple ceremony. With this, Mona left her relationship with Boney. Mona later responded that she was devastated by her relationship.
Mona once opened her mind in an interview with DNA. Mona said that she was 19 when she married Boney and that she grew up with him. Mona’s words were that she was shocked to learn that Boney Kapoor was in love with Sridevi and that she was pregnant.
‘He (Bony) was 10 years older than me. I was 19 years old when I married him. I literally grew up with him. We were married for 13 years. “Then I was shocked to learn that he was in love with someone else… Sridevi was already a child and there was no chance of giving our relationship another chance,” Mona said.
Sridevi tried to keep Boney away from his first wife and children after the marriage and also made headlines at the time. It was reported that Sridevi created a ruckus by going on a trip with Boney Kapoor’s first wife and children and after that Boney forbade the actress from seeing them.
Following this, Mona Kapoor’s mother had a fight with Sridevi and physically abused the actress. These things are said in a controversial report published in Stardust in 1997.
However, neither of them is alive today. Mona she dies on March 25, 2012. She died of cancer. Sridevi’s death was on February 24, 2018. After Sridevi’s death, Arjun and Anshula maintain a close relationship with their half-sisters Jhanvi and Khushi.
