Sanjay Dutt made his debut in 1981 with Rocky. Tina Munim was the heroine of the film. Sanjay himself reportedly asked his girlfriend Tina to be the heroine of the film. But Tina decided to end her relationship with Sanjay Dutt after his drug addiction. Tina later fell in love with Rajesh Khanna. That relationship didn’t last long either. But Sanjay Dutt thinks they’re close. In his autobiography, Gulshan Grover tells how he and Sanjay Dutt went to Rishi’s house to beat him up.
“That’s true. Sanju and Tina were close at that time. She thought Chintu was close to her too. Sanju and I are like brothers. One day he said we should go to Chintu’s house and beat him up. And we went for it. But Neetu, who was the bride, comforted Sanju. They convinced him that there was no relationship between Rishi and Tina,” says Gulshan.
If Sanjay Dutt had slapped Rishi Kapoor that day, it would have turned into a feud between the two families of Bollywood superstars. The entire Bollywood dynamic would have been affected. However, it did not happen due to the intervention of Neetu Kapoor. Sanjay was then ready to give up his habit. With that, for the star to return to his career and life.
After many years, Sanju was able to see Rishi’s son Ranbir Kapoor playing him on screen. Today Sanju and Ranbir have a very close relationship. There have been no problems with Rishi since then.
