Navneet Nishan was once a busy actress. Navneet comes to the cinema from television. Navneet herself turned heads in Bollywood with Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke opposite Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. The film was directed by Mahesh Butt. The movie was released in 1993 and became a huge hit. It’s been 30 years since Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke.
Navneet is open about the incidents that occurred during the filming of the film. Navneet says that Aamir Khan is the actor who was very careful with the continuity of the scenes. Navneet opened his mind in an interview with a newspaper. Navneet played the role of Dileep Tahil’s daughter Maya Bijlani in the film.
Maya is the girl who is going to marry the hero Aamir Khan. Therefore, Navneet had many scenes to act with Aamir Khan. Navneet opens her mind about such a scenario.
“I was afraid to be on sets with Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla and Mahesh Bhatt. I was nobody. So I have three big stars with me, three kids with me and a bunch of great actors. I was thinking this is where I came from. I couldn’t believe my luck. I am becoming part of such a big movie. Navneet said it was an exciting experience at the beginning of my career.
“There was an interesting scene that was later edited. After our engagement, I would go to Aamir Khan’s house and kiss him on the cheek. When I kissed him, he had a lipstick stain on his forehead. Later, being Aamir, Aamir said it should be a joint venture. So that day in total I kissed Aamir seven times. I came home and told my friends that I spent the whole day with Aamir Khan and won the lottery,” Nav says. neet.
Navneet also talks about another scene in the movie. “When you throw an egg, it hurts. Realizing this, Aamir Khan asked her to break one before throwing it. And so it started. And it didn’t stop. I’m a vegetarian. I couldn’t even stand the smell of eggs. I’m covered in eggs from head to toe. Luckily I was wearing a wig. Otherwise my hair would have smelled for days,” says Navneet.
Navneet has also acted in movies like My Name is Khan, Raja Hindustani, and Salim. Navneet makes her Bollywood debut with the film Jaan Tere Naam alongside Ronit Roy. She later she did many Hindi and Punjabi movies. She has also acted in hit series like Tara, Kasauti Zindagi Ke, and Chanakya.
