Some people also pointed out the reason behind the withdrawal of actress Kareena Kapoor from the movie Ram Leela. Bhansali demanded that Kareena remain single during the acting period in Ram Leela. They also claimed that the reason for this is that Leela’s character in the film is a virgin.

Kareena was initially considered as the heroine instead of Deepika in Ram Leela. But Kareena backed out of the movie. The actor did not specify the reason for this. It was reported that the actress dropped out due to an agreement not to get pregnant during the filming of the film. Deepika, who replaced Kareena, performed well in Ram Leela.
