  Revisiting Cultural Landscapes of Childhood
  The Northern California Chapter of HALS and David Driapsa, HALS Liaison Coordinator for ASLA, have issued a challenge to the nation to complete a HALS inventory form for a cultural landscape of childhood, such as a theme park, in each state. View a sample form, post a flier, download instructions to get started, look at photos for ideas, and … have fun. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2010.

• Leicester B. Holland Prize
  Architectural Record announces the launch of the Leicester B. Holland Prize, an annual competition that recognizes the best single-sheet measured drawing of an historic building, site, or structure prepared to the standards of the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), or Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) of the National Park Service. The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2011.
