  The Northern California Chapter of HALS and David Driapsa, HALS Liaison Coordinator for ASLA, have issued a challenge to the nation to complete one or more HALS inventory forms for a theme park in your state. We hope to receive completed forms from every state in the nation. View a sample form, post a flier, download a HALS Inventory Form and instructions to get started, and … have fun. The deadline for submissions is July 10, 2010.

• Leicester B. Holland Prize
  Architectural Record announces the launch of the Leicester B. Holland Prize, an annual competition that recognizes the best single-sheet measured drawing of an historic building, site, or structure prepared to the standards of the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), or Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) of the National Park Service. The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2011.
