CHAPTER NEWS

  • ASLA HP_PPN HALS Subcommittee 2018 1st Quarter Conference Call notes are available.
  • The Peterson Prize is now open to measured drawings prepared to the HALS, HABS, or HAER standards by students. The award amounts for First and Second prizes have been increased to $5,000 and $3,000 respectively.
  • Preparing a measured drawing for HALS? The Library of Congress prefers receiving plots on vellum, rather than Mylar, for measured drawings. The vellum must meet Federal Vellum Specification UU-P-561H, Type IV. They will continue to accept Mylar, too, for now. Vellum is considered to be more archivally stable, though, so consider making the switch to this medium in the future. Learn more by downloading Preparing HABS/HAER/HALS Documentation for Transmittal.
